I’m back from my loooonnnggg maternity leave! Thanks to those of you who wanted to be added to my waiting list :: sessions will resume this week! Gunner and I are enjoying the Minnesota Winter Wonderland today.

Sugar Plum Peri :: Chihuahua

Although Plums are out of season, Periwinkle’s ballerina dreams still came alive… with apples & a tutu. ‘Peri’ is an 8 or 9 year old Chihuahua (yay!- she was adopted!…so her age is somewhat uncertain) & loved every minute of dress up.

Brandy :: The Fun Police

This was a hard shoot to do. Brandy, a.k.a. “mama”- my sister’s 12 year old American Bulldog, had to be put down yesterday due to a series of terminal illnesses that were compromising her standard of living. Brandy loved playing with “her” boys (my 4 nephews)! But don’t let the playing get too wild with the chance of one getting hurt… She loved nothing more than to police the fun and put kids in the corner, if playtime was getting out of hand. She truly was the mama of the household & a kind spirit that will be missed.

My boy gun-town has been feeling neglected… he stood in the studio this morning for about 30 minutes, whimpering and waiting for his overdue studio session. He loves showing off his expressions.

Katie knew her job well :: keep moving until she finds the birds… She proved this point by only holding still for only 2.867 seconds, once. Although she can’t hunt anymore, she certainly still has heart.

photographing 25 dogs in 2 hours = An opportunity I LOVED!!! Although 5 minutes per dog is hardly enough time to capture all facets of their spirit, we got some great shots. Thank you to all you fabulous “parents” for coming to LuLu & Luigi’s White Bear Lake grand opening :: as well as letting me spend a little time with your fur-kid.
